Buffalo Trace Six Millionth Barrel Bourbon is a limited edition collector’s item for any bourbon connoisseur. It is produced by the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. This exclusive bourbon has been barrel aged for ten years before being filled in barrel number 7 million. It is crafted by Mash Bill #1, like other great brands such as Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, than mash bill #2. It is rich and silky with bright notes of berries, and smoked oak. The palate has complex notes of leather and tobacco mingled with the sweetness of the caramelized berries. of rich caramel, and faint tobacco. The finish is sweet, yet earthy with slight hints of leather, and spices.
